Ko Kit-ping, Pinko is a graduate from the Music Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She obtained certificates in both piano and cello practical examination, advanced level in ensemble performance of piano quintet with merit, and the ATCL in piano accompaniment of the Trinity College of London.
She was a piano accompanist of some music organizations such as The Pro-Musica Society, the choir of The Hong Kong International Music School, and the choir of the Medical Society, and an accompanist for students competitions and examinations.
Under the supervision of Eleena Surikov and Mr. Hung Chong, Pinko took cello and piano performance as her majors during her studies in CUHK, She studied cello with Mr. Cheung Ming Yuen, and joined many orchestras, such as Hong Kong Tertiary Students' Ensemble, Hong Kong Stage Ensemble and Hong Kong Symphony Orchestra. Ko is the principal of the cello section in the Orchestra of HK Hymn Society and the Orchestra of Hong Kong Medical Society and The Orchestra of Hong Kong Medical Association Society.
In addition, she is currently a cello performer in a number of wedding gigs, public celebration events and church services.
