Daniel Milard
English Music Class Teacher
Daniel Milard (Teacher Daniel) has more than 15 years experience in teaching English to students of all ages. After undertaking university studies in Law and Literature/Linguistics, Daniel decided to pursue his dream of becoming an international language teacher. Four years after his experience living and studying in Arizona (USA), Daniel found himself back in another airplane bound for the Grand Canyon State on another exchange program. This time, he had over two years formal English teaching experience and was back to work for a few months.
From 2006 to 2009, Daniel lived and worked in New Zealand. There, he attained his CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in 2009 issued by the Cambridge University in the UK, which testifies for Daniel's English language skills and ability to teach it.
Teacher Daniel has been working in Hong Kong for more than ten years, teaching English to students of all ages (eight-month-old babies to middle-aged entrepreneurs), but has a strong passion for young learners. Daniel feels that he can connect with young children and influence them in a positive way, and is confident in dealing with any circumstance that may arise in dealing with "little people" - as he tenderly calls them. Daniel enjoys playing the guitar, his ukulele and singing songs, and hopes to share music with young children.
He is fluent in three foreign languages and having lived in four continents, Daniel has learned how to interact with people from different backgrounds and walks of life, and how to respect them.
Daniel is based in Hong Kong with his wife, a Hong Konger, and their two young children. He loves to learn more about Hong Kong culture and enjoys trying to master the tones of Cantonese.
